Individual Psychotherapy
No matter what brings you in…
We’ve got you covered.
Anxiety, depression, a history of traumatic experiences, suicidal thinking, eating problems, or issues with your body image. Maybe you have gone through some tough life transitions or have gotten into or out of a problematic relationship. We are experienced in these and more.
Evidence-based practice…
What does that even mean, right?
It means that we are trained in a variety of psychological and therapeutic approaches that don’t include the “sit and nod” version of therapy that you may have seen on TV. We use behavioral therapies, somatic psychology, and parts work to inform the type of therapy we offer, and mostly use an integrative style of therapy to collaborate and tailor it to your specific needs. Our therapists are trained in the following modalities: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and practice Health at Every Size (HAES) and body-inclusive practices.
Inclusive means…
We don’t judge or discriminate, seriously.
At Gainesville Psychology Group, we believe in providing inclusive and compassionate care for all individuals seeking therapy. We understand that everyone's journey is unique, and we strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where you can feel valued, heard, and supported.

Family Therapy
At Gainesville Psychology Group, we believe that families are the foundation of our lives, and nurturing healthy relationships within them is essential for overall well-being. Family therapy is a specialized form of therapy that focuses on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering deeper connections within families.
Family therapy recognizes that each family is unique, with its own dynamics, strengths, and challenges. It provides a safe and supportive space where family members can come together to explore their emotions, beliefs, and patterns of interaction. Our skilled and compassionate family therapists are here to guide you through this process, helping you build stronger bonds and create a more harmonious family unit.
During family therapy sessions, our therapists work collaboratively with all family members, creating an atmosphere of openness and respect. Through active listening and effective communication techniques, they facilitate honest and meaningful conversations that allow everyone to express their thoughts and feelings. By gaining a deeper understanding of each other's perspectives, families can find common ground, resolve conflicts, and develop healthier ways of relating to one another.
Family therapy is not solely focused on addressing conflicts or crises within the family. It is also a valuable tool for families who simply want to strengthen their connections, improve their communication skills, or navigate important life transitions together. It provides a space for celebrating successes, creating shared goals, and fostering a sense of unity and support.
Our therapists are experienced in a variety of evidence-based approaches to family therapy, such as structural family therapy, narrative therapy, and systemic therapy. They will tailor their approach to meet the unique needs and goals of your family, ensuring that you receive the most effective and personalized care.
At Gainesville Psychology Group, we are committed to helping families thrive. We believe that by investing in your family's well-being and nurturing positive relationships, you can create a solid foundation for each family member to grow, flourish, and face life's challenges with resilience.
